Stove Top Blueberry Grunt
3 quick (and foolproof) ways to clean your stovetop burner grates.
Recipe Summary Stove Top Blueberry Grunt
This oddly named dessert promises juicy berries topped with biscuity dumplings, and there is no need to turn on the oven. But it can easily become a soggy, bland mess. Do not use frozen blueberries here, as they will make the filling watery. You will need a clean kitchen towel for this recipe.Ingredients | Kitchen Aid Stove Top Grates8 cups fresh blueberries, divided½ cup white sugar½ teaspoon ground cinnamon2 tablespoons water1 teaspoon lemon zest1 tablespoon lemon juice1 teaspoon cornstarch¾ cup buttermilk6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour1 ½ teaspoons baking powder½ teaspoon baking soda½ teaspoon salt6 tablespoons white sugar½ teaspoon ground cinnamon2 tablespoons white sugarDirectionsCombine 4 cups blueberries, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, water, and lemon zest in a Dutch oven.
